History

The Arc of St.  Mary/Center of Hope is a day program for individuals with developmental disabilities.  The Arc of St. Mary/Center of hope has been in existence since 1962.  In 1972, we moved to our present location at 100 Missouri Street in Centerville.   We provide day habilitation and supported employment services for individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities in St. Mary Parish.

We currently provide services for 23 individuals from throughout St. Mary Parish.  We are funded through the Medicaid Waiver Program.

Our training programs include areas such as; janitorial, retail stock clerk and more.   The individuals are employed in these vocational fields.

The mission of the Arc of St. Mary/Center of Hope is to encourage each participant to discover and develop his/her maximum potential as a productive citizen.

The vision of the Arc of St. Mary/Center of Hope is to provide quality leadership and opportunities to individuals with Intellectual Disabilities.
